Having a good command of English is essential for the modern society. While attending college, I was taught by my teacher to learn English from different angles, such as reading, writing, speaking and listening. Although I was not very good at English at the beginning, I never gave up and strived to improve my English skills.

Firstly, I read English books and articles every day to enhance my comprehension and enlarge my vocabulary. Then I improved my writing ability by writing essays and summaries. In addition, I watched English movies and TV programs, and listened to English songs to help me acquire more knowledge and improve my pronunciation. What's more, I always practiced speaking with my friends who were native English speakers, which improved my speaking ability greatly.

In conclusion, I worked both hard and smart to master English. Learning English is not an easy task, but there are always ways to make progress if one is determined and persistent. I believe that with my efforts, I will be able to use English fluently in the future.
